FRRP Process

Interest Questionnaire

Residents or clinical fellows fill their research interest questionnaire and upload their CITI course certificate "Biomedical Research - Basic/Refresher Curriculum".

CITI certificate can be completed on the below link.

CITI Program Step 1

Letter of Intent

The second requirement is submission of a Letter of Intent (LOI). Residents or clinical fellows reach out to an advisor who is a good match for their research interests and decide on a topic for their research.

Step 2

Letter of Intent evaluation

Once the Letter of Intent has been submitted it will be avaluated by up to 2 faculty members.

Step 3

Proposal

The third requirement is submission of a Proposal. At the same time, residents and clinical fellows are asked to submit their proposal to the IRB.

Step 4

Proposal Evaluation

Once the Proposal has been submitted it will be avaluated by up to 2 faculty members.

Step 5

Final Presentation

Each resident and clinical fellow will internally present their research work to the department and one resident will be asked to present his/her project in the annual clinical research open house.

Step 6

Poster

Each resident and clinical fellow will prepare a poster summarizing their research work and display it in the annual clinical research open house.

Step 7

Paper Publication

Each resident and clinical fellow will submit their research work to a journal for publication.
